Who Am I?
Hi friends! My name is Cassie, and I am a writer. I have been an avid writer since I was a preteen where I learned to channel my emotions into art. Chances are, you've read my work without realizing it. Although, I was never one for the limelight, I am one for advocating for the truth. Sometimes my need to promote awareness, peace, and assistance overshadow my desire to sit back and be quiet. I tried shutting up once, and I'm going to be honest-- it wasn't for me. Here's to never losing my voice again.
So, without further delay-
My name is Cassie Phillips, and I wrote poems along with writings that inspired The Let Them Movement. Since 2020, I have been a mental health advocate on social media and within the community. My story inspired The Let Them Poems after I experienced abuse in different forms and discovered my inner-child wounds. Research and personal growth helped me get to a place of peace and acceptance that inspired me to start helping others.. Thus began The Let Them, Let Me, Let You writings.
The initial goal of my website is to promote mental health awareness, helpful resources, and the original Let Them Story -- My Story. On my platforms, I want to create a community that is a safe space filled with kindness, uplifting voices, and realistic advice. I do not want to be considered an influencer, because I do not have all the answers and nor do I expect to. I'm just a regular human being navigating through life hoping to dissuade others from traveling down wrong paths. Once the website launches, you will be able to find different ways to learn about The Let Them Movement and my journey. More importantly, I want to ensure you get realistic advice and resources to navigate your own journey.
Thank you to all who have supported this wonderful adventure. I would not be where I am today without the kindness and thoughtfulness of others inspiring me to always push forward in my life. May my words and the words of others guide us collectively to a more peaceful destination than the one we would have arrived at without them.
Remember-- We cannot control the actions of others, but we can choose how we respond. Choose kindness and forgiveness but not at the risk of losing yourself to another's storm. Love and respect yourself enough to decide when to brave the storm or seek shelter. It's okay to Let go and Let Them, so you can finally and unapologetically Let You.
